Statement of Faith

Our vision is to see women (re)enter into a growing relationship with God through Jesus Christ, (re)engage the work of the Holy Spirit, and (re)ignite in-person relationships within our community.

Bible.

We believe that the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, were written by humans under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is inspired by God, without error, and the supreme and final authority on all matters of faith and morality.

God.

We believe in a Triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each member of the Trinity is equal in power and authority yet serve a different role and purpose. God is eternal and created the heavens and the earth. He created humanity in His image with the purpose of enjoying a relationship with us. Humans chose to break that relationship by sinning. We believe that God the Father is holy, loving, and desires intimacy with His creation (humanity) above all else.

We believe that Jesus Christ was fully God and fully human. He never sinned and therefore was able to be the perfect sacrifice for humanity’s sin which was the fulfillment required by our holy God in order to restore our relationship with Him. We believe that Jesus died, rose from the dead, and ascended to Heaven where He is now preparing a place for those that believe in Him. Salvation comes through Jesus alone. We believe that the Holy Spirit is given as a gift to believers after they put their faith in Jesus Christ. He guides us, comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, gently corrects and redirects us, and ultimately transforms us from the inside out - making us more like Jesus day by day.

Humanity.

We believe that all human life is sacred from conception to death and is created in the image of God with worth, value, and purpose. (Genesis 1:26-28; Exodus 20; Psalm 139). We believe in the purposeful biological creation by God of each person as either male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26-27). We believe that God created marriage to be exclusively the union of one male and one female and that intimate sexual activity is to occur exclusively within that union: as established in the Creator’s original design (Genesis 2:18-25) and confirmed in the words of Jesus (Matthew 19:4-6).

We acknowledge that there are those in our culture and communities that hold differing positions and believe in the personal dignity of those who disagree with our beliefs as stated above. As illustrated in the life of Jesus and instructed in the Scriptures, we will at all times and in any way possible treat such individuals and groups with dignity and respect without compromising our beliefs. We will strive to love them unconditionally in word and deed, treating them as we wish to be treated ourselves. Matthew 5:14-16; 7:12; Colossians 4:5-6

Salvation

We believe every person has sinned and falls short of the holiness and perfection of God therefore we cannot be with God on our own accord. Because of Jesus’ perfect sacrifice on the cross - taking the penalty for humanity’s sin - every person has the opportunity to put their faith in Jesus as their Savior and accept His gift of salvation. Salvation is believing that Jesus took our punishment for sin and through His sacrifice, we are made holy and perfect and able to be restored in relationship with our perfect God.

Earth to Eternity.

We believe that those who put their faith in Jesus Christ form a body of believers called the Church and the role of the Church on earth is to tell others about Jesus. God’s number one plan for reaching the lost (those that have not accepted the free gift of salvation) is the Church. The local church (the building) offers the opportunity for the Church (the people) to gather, worship, and invite others to learn more about God. God calls and equips the Church (His people) to make disciples which begins with reaching the people right within their community. We believe that the Holy Spirit partners with us and gives us the gift and ability to reach others for Christ. We also believe that being connected with a group of believers that meets regularly (within the local church) is crucial to growing in your relationship with God.

We believe that Jesus will return to earth one day and there will be a final judgment for all the living and the dead. Those who have accepted Jesus as their Savior will spend eternity with God in heaven. Those who have not accepted Jesus as their Savior will spend eternity separated from God in hell.
